Pininfarina, a leading global design house, has created in its 95 year lifespan some of the most influential and iconic designs in automotive history.
Our project ranges cross from hyper-luxury supercars to new mobility solutions, to trains, aircrafts and boats, serving worldwide established OEMs and start-ups.
We are currently strengthening our team, which today operates in three studios in Italy, China and the United States. We are looking to fill the position for an experienced
 
HEAD OF EXTERIOR DESIGN - AUTOMOTIVE
  • We are looking for a talented automotive design leader, with at least 10 years of experience, to cover the highly coveted position of Head of Exterior Design at Pininfarina.
  • You will lead a highly creative team based both in Cambiano and Shanghai. Each of the teams is composed of around 12 designers (from junior to chief level) and are working on automotive design projects from the conceptual phase to design freeze.
  • You will have the task to follow, motivate and guide the Pininfarina exterior design team to produce consistently excellent work, from creative sketches to high quality 3D models, from creating  impactful presentation material and state-of-the-art visualization.
  • You are responsible for ensuring the continuous growth of experienced designers, making less experienced colleagues profit from your expert skills as well as identifying new talent to join the team.
  • High organizations skills to plan and manage the workload in the Studio are required. 
  • You will have to be perfectly at ease leading the virtual modelling phase as well as managing the physical models, one of the key points of the Pininfarina tradition.
  • While striving for the best possible results, you will have to be agile and flexible in managing people and projects, to excel under strong timing pressure in a highly dynamic project landscape.
  • You will work in close relation with the Head of Interior Design, Colour and Trim and the design management team, responding directly to the Pininfarina Head of Mobility design.
  • The main place of work will be in Cambiano (Turin, Italy).
