CFD Engineer

Pininfarina, a prestigious multinational group specializing in Design and Engineering services for the Automotive sector, is seeking to hire, for its Aerodynamics & Aeroacoustics department based in Grugliasco (Turin), the following profile:

CFD Engineer

Reporting directly to the Head of Aerodynamics & Aeroacoustics, the selected candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, and validation of CFD solutions to address complex engineering challenges. The role also involves contributing to the creation of tools, methodologies, and processes aimed at improving the efficiency and accuracy of numerical analyses. Additionally, the candidate will support experimental activities in the wind tunnel, working closely with the testing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Development of aerodynamic packages for assigned projects
• Preparation and setup of models for CFD analysis
• Integration of design modifications through surface modeling in CAD environment
• Analysis of simulation results and proposal of solutions to meet project targets
• Contribution to the development of internal methodologies and enhancement of company know-how
• Support for experimental activities, including wind tunnel operations

Requirements

• Master’s degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or related fields
• Experience with CFD software (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, Star-CCM+, OpenFOAM or equivalent)
• Proficiency in CAD software for surface modeling
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent knowledge of English
